TRAFFIC CONTROL PLANS
A traffic control plan (TCP) is used to provide safe and efficient movement of vehicles, bicyclists, and pedestrians through and/or around a work zone.
TCP is necessary for any work that affects the public space.
This could include roads, sidewalks, alleys, etc.
The time will depend on the complexity of the project. The process of preparation, review, and approval is not as long or difficult as many other required plans.
Almost all urban projects will need one, as they most likely have an impact on the public space. They are needed less often in suburban projects; however, any project that affects a public road or sidewalk will still require one.
